Choosing Eggplant DAI Licensing Bundles
Licensing Basics
Eggplant DAI licenses are based on a term subscription, concurrent license usage model with no geographic restrictions. This allows you to install DAI components on an unlimited number of systems, with access granted on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the number of licenses available in your subscription.
There are two types of licenses for Keysight’s software test automation product: developer and execution. Please see Licenses Types for an explanation of each.
Registered users can log into DAI without using a license. A user does not use a license until they run a test.
The tables below illustrate the available license bundle options.
Basic DAI Licenses

- Base, Professional, or Team Bundle is required whether DAI is deployed on-Premises or in cloud.
Hosting DAI in the Cloud
As Eggplant DAI customers, you can also take advantage of the speed and scale of the cloud. To run DAI in Eggplant Cloud, you will need:
- Eggplant DAI developer licenses to entitle usage (as above)
- One hosting service DAI instance with 20GB of disk space for test results
- One hosted execution license for each concurrent execution license
There are two types of hosted executions:
- Standard: Limits the Fusion Engine to 17,850 minutes per month per license
- Unlimited: Makes the Fusion Engine available for unrestricted use 24/7
Customers have the option of 10 GB of additional disk storage for test results.
DAI Cloud Licenses

Licensing Scenarios
To understand the different licensing options, it's recommended to go through the several scenarios listed in the following section:
Scenario 1
On-premises DAI with 1 developer/user and 2 concurrent executions:
- 1x EG1020A-1xx Base Bundle
Scenario 2
Cloud DAI with 1 developer/user and 2 standard concurrent executions (17,850 minutes/month per license):
- 1x EG1020A-1xx Base Bundle
- 1 x EG1100A-1xx for Eggplant Cloud-hosted DAI instance
- 2 x EG1100A-3xx for 2 concurrent executions in Eggplant Cloud (standard)
Scenario 3
On-premises DAI with 2 developers/users and 4 concurrent executions
- 1 x EG1020A-7xx Professional Bundle
Scenario 4
Cloud DAI with 2 developers/users and 6 standard concurrent executions (17,850 minutes/month per license)
- 1 x EG1020A-1xx Professional Bundle
- 2 x EG1020A-3xx for 2 additional concurrent executions (4 are included in Professional Bundle)
- 1 x EG1100A-1xx for Eggplant Cloud-hosted DAI instance
- 6 x EG1100A-3xx for 6 concurrent executions in Eggplant Cloud (standard)
Scenario 5
Cloud DAI with 5 developers/users and 10 unlimited concurrent executions (24/7 execution)
- 1 x EG1020A-8xx Team Bundle
- 1 x EG1100A-1xx for Eggplant Cloud-hosted DAI instance
- 10 x EG1100A-4xx for 10 concurrent executions in Eggplant Cloud (24/7 execution)
Eggplant Monitoring
Monitoring Insights is a cloud service that allows Eggplant customers to track user journeys in their application or website and then bring these user journeys back into Eggplant DAI. As long as the application or website can be instrumented, Eggplant customers can define events that they would like to be tracked in these user journeys. The number of events/beacons per month tracked by Eggplant is defined by the RCI package purchased, according to the table below.
Eggplant Monitoring is hosted by Eggplant and is available to all DAI customers. To use the full version of Monitoring Insights, you need to buy at least one of EG1050A-5xx or EG1050A-6xx.

Additional Languages
Testing systems that use Middle Eastern languages such as Arabic and Hebrew, will require the Middle Eastern language pack. Each of these are identical to the standard EG1020A packages, but with additional language support.
For example, customers requiring their Eggplant DAI setup to be able to interact with user interfaces in Hebrew would need the EG1020A-4xx Base Bundle instead of the EG1020A-1xx Base Bundle.
